Plastic Free Delhi :

In January 2009, the Delhi government banned usage of low grade plastic bags at all shopping centres. Since customers are not in a habit of carrying a bag and the cost of organic or re-usable bags are quite high as compared to a plastic bag, retail outlets had to succumb to customer demands to provide plastic bags. People’s Action introduced a pioneering methodology developed to solve the problem of proliferation of low grade plastic carry bags, known as Eco Bags Exchange [EBX] Programme. The EBX process solves all three problems and costs neither the retailer nor the customer.
